We are very happy to share that Carlotas has landed in North America. We are now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in New York, USA. Carlotas was first founded in Brazil in 2013, it was after a successful crowdfunding where I brought my artwork to schools and assistance institutions for the first time (video below).

The response from students and teachers pushed me and my partner, Fabiana Gutierrez, to found Carlotas and start studying more about subjects such as empathy, tolerance, respect and what started it all: deconstruction of perfection. In 2016, we partnered up with Carla Scheidegger and opened Carlotas in Germany. The next video is from 2018 when the 3 of us met in Munich for a Program at Impact Hub that lasted 5 months and ended in this pitch explaining what and why we created Carlotas.

Since then we have been working alongside a multidisciplinary team of incredible professionals, from psychologists to educators, that believe in our mission. We continued developing and growing and in 2017 have brought workshops and programs to corporations, in Brazil we are in companies like Microsoft, Google, Sephora, Carrefour, Stock Exchange (B3), and many others.

We are happy to arrive in the USA and can't wait to get to know the American SEL (Social Emotional Learning) players and bring Carlotas methodology to different projects and programs!
